TDF has committed to expanding the Science Lab on Wheels initiative across all Mandals in Telangana with the support of CSR funds and an estimated budget of ₹400 crore. The goal is to reach 50% of Telangana’s Mandals within five years, providing over 4,50,000 students annually with quality, interactive STEM education. Youth for Seva manages on-the-ground execution, coordinating lab schedules, managing logistics, and ensuring program effectiveness.
To combat summer learning loss, TDF and YFS will also launch a Summer Bridge Program in April and May, engaging students with STEM-focused VR content to prevent the “summer slide” and maintain learning continuity.
For transparency and accountability, the project’s progress will be tracked through a dedicated website, with TDF and YFS conducting quarterly reviews to assess outcomes and make adjustments as needed.
This initiative exemplifies TDF’s commitment to transforming rural education by empowering students to build a strong foundation in STEM. The Science Lab on Wheels embodies the spirit of “Innovative Learning on the Move” and the mission of “Connecting Rural Minds to the World of Science,” offering equal learning opportunities and creating a lasting educational impact across Telangana. TDF strongly believes that this project will help reduce dropout rates in higher education and pave the way toward a prosperous Telangana with a workforce rich in employable knowledge and skills.
